Nicea SOOTER SOOTEUR and William Asher FLY were married. William Asher FLY (son of Jeremiah Nicholas FLY and Zilpha PIPKINS) was born on 17 Nov 1799 in Williamson Co. Tene. headstone says: Davidson Co. Tenn He was buried in 1849 in Corsicana Cemetery, Barry Co. Mo.⁴ He died in Sep 1849 in Corsicana, Barry Co. Mo. genfourm #1584 dated 3 jan 2003:
"We know that William Fly, b. 1799, Jeremiah's oldest son, stayed behind in Arkansas until he appears in the 1840 Searcy Co. Ar. census. then he moved to Barry, and died in 1849. Nicea Fly appears as Head of Household in Barry in the 1850 Census.

The William Fly family lived at one time near the spring at the head of Joy's Creek near the Mt. Joy Church. They later lived near the old Henderson mines, and about a quarter of a mile from the Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church.
